Pierce Construction was established in 1974 by Mr. Willie D. Pierce, in the Southern Mississippi town of Petal. The Company began by servicing the Wood Products industry, and developed a niche of designing and fabricating equipment for saw-mills, utility pole mills and lumber treatment plants, as well as maintaining, modifying and constructing wood products facilities. The Company produced high-quality precision products at a competitive price. As a result, mills and plants from across North America began calling upon Pierce Construction to design and construct their facilities.

Over the years, the Company's core focus of servicing the Wood Products industry presented opportunities in two main support areas; Industrial Power and Commercial structural steel. Mr. Pierce proved his leadership and management abilities by strengthening the Company's core position within the Wood Products industry while developing two additional core areas of servicing the Industrial Power, and Commercial structural steel industries.

The Company presently maintains a base workforce of 85 to 100 employees who meet high standards of character and occupational qualifications. Many employees have more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Mr. Pierce, together with his five sons, Werner, John, Dean, Stanley, and Bryan, and the entire management and employee team, developed Pierce Construction into being a leader of providing quality and excellence to the Wood Products, Industrial Power and Commercial industries.
